I did miss that there were no requests at this show. They followed a very definite set list, and everything they played was amazing. But request time is always a fun part of the show, too. I also missed the pretty ballads with just Grant and his guitar. I think Older Now came closest to that, and was done beautifully with the band. Buried Treasure took on an electric life of its own which was really great to hear, but at the same time I missed the prettiness of the song from the CD. I guess I just need a full band set followed by a solo acoustic set. That would be my ideal. Are you listening, Grant?
Largo had some of Grant's publicity posters available, and Grant was really nice about signing them and chatting before and after the show as usual. It was great to have him back at Largo. I hope he won't stay away so long next time!
